Back from Haiti, a technical stop at Lajes and departure for Sri Lanka!

Regresso do Haiti, escala técnica nas Lajes e partida para o Sri Lanka! O Airbus A340-642 da companhia alemã Universal Sky Carrier (USC) regressou do Haiti e fez uma escala técnica na Base das Lajes, na ilha Terceira, Açores, após cerca de 5 horas de voo. Durante a paragem, acompanhámos alguns momentos da preparação da aeronave para a próxima etapa, incluindo o walk-around, a inspeção visual exterior realizada por um dos pilotos antes do voo. Após a troca de tripulação e os preparativos necessários, o gigante de quatro motores voltou aos céus, descolando das Lajes para mais 12 horas de voo até ao Sri Lanka. The Airbus A340-642 operated by German company Universal Sky Carrier (USC) returned from Haiti and made a technical stop at Lajes Air Base, on Terceira Island in the Azores, after approximately 5 hours of flight. During the stop, we captured some moments of the aircraft being prepared for its next journey, including the walk-around inspection, a visual check of the aircraft’s exterior carried out by one of the pilots before departure. Following the crew change and the necessary preparations, the four-engine giant took to the skies once again, departing from Lajes for another 12 hours of flight to Sri Lanka.
