You probably don't need an AI agent. We built the same customer-support job three ways in n8n, ran real messages through each, and show exactly where each one wins and where it breaks. Level 1 is a fixed rule. It's instant and free, but it misread two of four messages. Level 2 adds one AI step. It got 4 out of 4, at about 3 seconds a run. Level 3 is a bounded AI agent. It checked the policy, looked up the order and asked a human before acting. It took 22 seconds and 3 model calls. Then you get a simple 3-question rule for choosing the right one, the two beginner mistakes that cause the most pain, and a first project you can start today. ABOUT THE DEMOS Every workflow on screen was really built and run in a self-hosted n8n on our own server on 16 October 2026, using a Gemini model. The shop, its orders and its returns policy are sample data. Narration uses a synthetic voice; the visuals are diagrams and real screen recordings.
