Is Delhi’s Racecourse Mosque at Risk, After Saharanpur?

Delhi’s Racecourse Mosque has become the focus of concern following reports of a possible eviction notice, amid fears that it could face demolition. In this ground report, Nous on the Ground, Bushra Khanum examines the uncertainty surrounding the mosque, the restrictions on its use, and the concerns of worshippers and residents displaced from the surrounding neighbourhood. The report documents residents’ accounts of the demolition of more than 700 homes, the loss of family histories and community ties, and the fear that the mosque could be the next structure to be removed. It also examines claims about the mosque’s historical and heritage status, its legal records, and the protections that may apply under Indian law. #RacecourseMosque #DelhiMosque #MosqueDemolition #DelhiNews #WaqfProperty #PlacesOfWorshipAct #ReligiousFreedom #RuleOfLaw Subscribe: https://www.nousnetwork.org/#/portal Support here: https://www.nousnetwork.org/#/portal/...
