تعود تسمية الحبلة بهذا الاسم نسبة إلى قرية الحبلة بالقرب من المنتزه الواقعة بمركز الواديين؛ التي كان يستخدم فيها السكان الحبال كوسيلة للتنقل ونقل المؤن والبضائع وذلك لصعوبة تضاريس المنطقة، أما حالياً فقد أصبحت بلدة نموذجية ذات الخدمات المتكاملة التي تخدم سكانها.
