This video is about the Caribbean Ecosphere, the closed aquatic ecosystem in a glass jar constructed from sand, water and beach sediments from the Southern Caribbean island of Curacao. We will go over the collection of materials; seawater, sand, rubble, algae and invertebrates, and we will see the development in the first few weeks. Algae species: Caulerpa serrulata, Dictyota. Animals: Polychaetes (bristle worms), ribbon worms, copepods, slimy mystery animals.
Enjoy!
