To Undergraduate Students, Third Level, Highway and Transportation Engineering, College of Engineering, Mustansiriyah University This lecture aims to explain the concept of the three-layer system and how to determine the stresses and strains based on related theory. this lecture focuses on the Peattie's charts method to estimate stress and strain factors that can be used to estimate the vertical and radial stresses and strains at the top and bottom of each layer.
