'Chief of War' actors Luciane Buchanan and Moses Goods | FULL INTERVIEW

New Zealand actress Luciane Buchanan plays Kaʻahumanu, wife of King Kamehameha, while Maui native Moses Goods plays Ke’eaumoku, Ka’ahumanu’s father. Buchanan talks about her personal, and emotional, journey to the queen’s birth place in Hana, Maui: "It was a really beautiful moment." Goods said after he put on a replica of an ‘ahu ‘ula (feather cape) that had a black circle in the center, his spine froze. “That was Ke’eaumoku with his hand on my spine,’” said Moses. "That was my moment of him telling me in his very war general way, 'I got you, but don't you veer off this path.'"
