"The Last Projection" - This piece is a personal tribute to the time when projectionists had to bid farewell to soulful analog projection in favor of the digital era. It tells the story of a time when expertise and dedication truly mattered—of the wonderful team that created that atmosphere, yet whose paths were destined to part ways.
To all the projectionists who lived between the eras of cinema.

LYRICS:
[ Jason - The Last Projection ]
[Intro]
There was a light behind the screen,
A little world nobody's seen.
Before the pixels filled the night,
We carried dreams through beams of light.
[Verse 1]
I knew the sound of rolling film,
The projector breathing in the dim.
A strip of silver through my hands,
A thousand worlds, a thousand lands.
We cut the scenes, we joined the frames,
We chased the light, we knew the names.
While everyone was watching dreams,
We lived between the silent beams.
[Pre-Chorus]
And every frame is gone tonight,
But something stayed behind the light.
The years moved on, the world moved fast,
But some old scenes were made to last.
[Chorus]
We were the last ones in the light,
Turning darkness into life.
Now the screens are everywhere,
But I still feel the magic there.
And when I drive into the night,
I see those memories come alive.
Maybe the film was never gone,
Maybe it just keeps playing on.
[Post-Chorus]
Oh-oh, keeps playing on...
Oh-oh, keeps playing on...
[Verse 2]
No loading bars, no silent screen,
Just reels of worlds we'd never seen.
A smell of film, a room of sound,
And midnight shadows all around.
We carried boxes, fixed the reels,
With tired hands and stubborn dreams.
The audience would never know
How much it took to make it glow.
[Pre-Chorus]
Then one by one, the reels were gone,
The spinning wheels stopped moving on.
The machines went quiet in the dark,
And something changed behind the spark.
[Chorus]
We were the last ones in the light,
Turning darkness into life.
Now the screens are everywhere,
But I still feel the magic there.
And when I drive into the night,
I see those memories come alive.
Maybe the film was never gone,
Maybe it just keeps playing on.
[Bridge]
Different roads, different lives,
Different cities, different skies.
But for a moment, when we meet,
We're back beneath those movie screens.
All these years disappear somehow,
We're young again, together now.
The world became a thousand files,
But we still carry those old miles.
[Final Chorus]
We were the last ones in the light,
Turning darkness into life.
Now the screens are everywhere,
But I still feel the magic there.
And when I drive into the night,
With all those memories in my eyes,
I don't need the film to roll,
I still can feel it in my soul.
[Outro]
The projector fades...
The Silver Screen story stays...
Some lights never disappear.
The projection family will always be near.
