If Kishimoto's new Naruto manga changes when Naruto became Hokage, does that actually contradict Boruto's manga since the Day Naruto Became Hokage was NEVER included or acknowledged in the manga story? With Kishimoto returning to draw Naruto again, would you rather see a single extended one shot or an entire manga volume exploring the blank period between chapters 699 and 700? How sad is it that in the 5 days since Naruto Shadow Rising was announced, most of the discourse has been Boruto slander?* Provisional Titles:Boruto’s MISCALCULATION Is Leading To Konoha’s DESTRUCTION **Boruto is Dragon Ball GT? Boruto is no longer canon? Naruto Shadow Rising has officially retconned Boruto Two Blue Vortex? Social media has been flooded with these claims following the announcement that Masashi Kishimoto is returning to draw a brand new Naruto manga, but how much of this controversy actually holds up when examining the evidence? In this Naruto Explained video, the growing Boruto noncanon controversy gets a detailed breakdown using statements from Masashi Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto, and the creative team responsible for the Boruto manga. Kishimoto previously confirmed that he wrote the entire screenplay for Boruto Naruto the Movie, which became the foundation for Boruto's manga. He also explained his involvement in reviewing chapters and developing the major story points that would guide the sequel through its conclusion. So why are fans suddenly claiming that Boruto has become the next Dragon Ball GT? The discussion examines the upcoming Naruto Shadow Rising manga, the possibility of Naruto becoming Hokage earlier than previously depicted, and why that alone would not necessarily invalidate Naruto chapter 700, Naruto Gaiden, or Boruto's manga continuity. The video also revisits Kishimoto's statements about Ikemoto taking creative responsibility for Boruto, the differences between Boruto's anime and manga continuities, and the history of Kishimoto's involvement in the sequel. Most importantly, Kishimoto returning to draw Naruto should be exciting news for the entire Naruto fandom. Whether his upcoming project becomes a single chapter or something considerably longer remains to be seen. Boruto Two Blue Vortex continues its story, and speculation about the future of Naruto's continuity deserves more than isolated quotations and viral social media posts. Watch the full breakdown before deciding whether the Boruto retcon claims have any real foundation. Share your thoughts below about Kishimoto's return and the future of Naruto and Boruto.**
