New exhaust and some maintenance on the 1971 Westfalia before hitting the road

Prepping the’71 Westy for Bug Jam & our first Cross-Country adventure! I dive into some essential maintenance on the bus before hitting the road! I drained and refreshed the gear oil after the break-in period, adjusted the shift plate, fixed an exhaust leak, and checked the valve covers. I also installed a new ‪@EMPI_Inc‬ exhaust from ‪@CaliforniaImports‬ CIP1, I changed the oil, tightened the belt, and adjusted the clutch cable. All these final touches are getting us road-ready for Florida Bug Jam weekend and our maiden cross-country trip out west in just a couple weeks! Stay tuned for all the VW adventures to come! #VWBus #FloridaBugJam #VanLife #maintenance #vehiclemaintenance #carmaintenance #VWCommunity #RoadTripPrep #VW #westfalia
