One iconic Ghanaian dish. Two contrasting family legacies. A compelling dual-narrative exploring passion, identity, and modern entrepreneurship across the Upper West Region!
In this non-linear episode, we follow two young women walking opposite paths toward the same culinary craft:
First, a young woman born into a generational waakye dynasty, passed down from her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother, struggles with the expectation to take the torch. Dreaming of a medical or corporate career, she finds herself torn between preserving her family's rich heritage and forging her own identity.
Meanwhile, the daughter of a politician and an accomplished medical doctor makes an unexpected choice. Despite her elite background and prestigious career, she discovers that her true calling lies in elevated, high-standard waakye selling, embracing the food culture for purpose, joy, and independence.
When their paths cross, a powerful exchange takes place: traditional culinary expertise meets corporate strategy. Watch how these two women show that preserving tradition doesn't mean standing still, it means evolving it into something grander!
