I wrote this tune back in 2017 after attending Folk Alliance International for the first time, this massive gathering of folk musicians who converge onto Kansas City for a social experiment in showcasing and networking. Ani DiFranco was the keynote speaker and she told all of us to write a political song. It was 2017... you can imagine that I had a few things to write about, here's what came out.
