Meet the Friends of Sausal Creek

Meet the Friends of Sausal Creek! Formed in 1996, Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC) is a community-based organization working to conserve, restore, and enhance the Sausal Creek Watershed in Oakland, California. We recognize that community participation, from residents and volunteers to teachers, students, and decision-makers, is critical to protecting the watershed as a natural resource. Through environmental education, community stewardship, and collaboration with agencies and nonprofits, we support Oakland’s biodiversity and work toward a healthier, more climate-resilient future. Many thanks to Alex McCutcheon of Spider Plant Media for producing and directing this video.
