October 20 - Saturday marked 27 years since the death of Mozambican President, Samora Machel, who died in a plane crash in Mpumalanga, while on his way back from a meeting in Zambia. The crash occurred in the Lebombo Mountains, near Mbuzini, killing 34 others. It's widely believed, though never proven, that the South African apartheid regime was behind the crash.
