Around the turn of the 20th century a number of post cards were produced of the rural areas of France. They cover many places and in some, the municipal has reproduced images of them in the places they represent to give a sense of time and history. I had the idea of picking some cards and finding the place they were originally shot, taking an “aged” version today and then including the actual new image.
