Wiring My Ford F250 Upfitter Switches for Ham Radio Power

I finally got tired of wrestling with the massive 260 amp hour battery hogging space in the back of my 2024 Ford F250. Every time I had passengers, that giant block was totally in the way. I swapped it out for a much more practical 32 amp hour salvaged medical cart battery from Battery Hookup. It delivers plenty of power for my Icom IC-2730 and the Icom IC-705. I wired it up to a 10 amp variable DC to DC charger using my truck's factory upfitter switches, allowing me to charge the system while I drive. Instead of buying fancy aluminum plating, I mounted the entire rig on a repurposed cutting board I picked up at the Habitat REStore. It was quite the chore figuring out Ford's wiring loom under the passenger footwell, especially dealing with all the glue and heat shrink. I even had to double up the wires to ensure I could safely carry the current without risking a fire.
