How to replace the battery on a BMW X3 G01. In this video, I show the complete battery replacement process on my BMW X3 G01 — removing the old battery, testing the new AGM battery, installing it, and using a battery support unit during the replacement. After installing a new battery, it should be registered with the vehicle so the BMW charging management system knows that a new battery has been installed. Battery registration can be performed using tools such as BimmerLink or ISTA. Note: The battery registration procedure itself is not shown in this video. Although this video was filmed on an X3 G01, the general replacement procedure is similar on many modern BMW models.
