In this Designer Showcase tutorial we will be sewing the quick and easy Raccoon Case from Pink Pony Designs. The Raccoon Case was designed as a sunglasses case but is perfect for pencils, paint or makeup brushes, or for keeping loose items organised. Skills I will cover in this tutorial include: Sewing a curve Installing a zipper on a curve Working with one side of a zipper Topstitching curves Adjusting your lining for a snug fit Adapting this pattern to have no raw edges or binding No tab zipper installation I am sewing on a domestic Juki HZL-DX7. My bag is made using interfaced cotton woven and stabilized with Pellon one sided fusible foam. Get your free copy of the Raccoon pattern here: https://www.pinkponydesign.com/produc... Join the Pink Pony Designs Facebook group:   / pinkponypatterns   Follow Pink Pony Designs on Facebook:   / pinkponydesigns   From the designer: “A soft case for glasses, sunglasses, pencils, insulin pens or anything really - that easily opens all the way, making your items quick to get out when needed and easy to put back. The case is flat when not in use, but the padding from the batting keeps your glasses or items safe in your bag when you're not using them.” Finished Size: ~3 1/2" (8.5cm) wide and 7 1/2-8 1/2" (19-21cm) long. Skill Level: Beginner This tutorial was made with permission from Maria from Pink Pony Designs. Thank you! Thank you for being part of the OKSew community!
