Gold Coast Airport Rolling Ball Sculpture cn:202

If you're travelling through the Gold Coast Airport, head down to gate 10 and you'll come across this large wall mounted sculpture. It measures 2.4m long and 1.2m tall. It features a double sided helical lift carrying the 38mm phenolic balls to the top of the sculpture. The balls then flow through several components including tall spiral, flat spiral, balls on track, multi ball tipping arm, wavy track and a gate switch along with much more. The sculpture also incorporates an internal framework that depicts the actual runways at the Gold Coast Airport. It is viewable between 5am and 9pm daily.
