Alice in Wonderland (1985, Anglia Television) - Full Movie (DVD)

Anglia Television's 5 episode adaption of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland was inspired and based upon an early production put on by the famous Da Silva Puppets group at the Norwich Puppet Theatre. The company regularly performed and, continues to perform, shows based on classic children's literature, such as Treasure Island and Pinocchio. It's a dauntingly ambitious production, using many elaborate techniques. The series is a blend of puppetry (marionettes and rod puppets) and live action element, set against photographic or live action backgrounds. Stars Giselle Andrews as Alice.
