Macaronic Song in German / French: Il faut tojours lustig sein

A folksong from the German / French language border. This buoyant drinking song is half French, half German and has been sung in Lothringen / Lorraine some 100 years ago. From the Louis Pinck collection "Verklingende Weisen". There are songs like these in Ireland as well, in English / Irish respectively. They are classified as "macaronic songs."
