The Genesis Breaking Series with Lil John, Moy, and Jeremy for Bboys & Bgirls Video

The Genesis Breaking Series will be one of many video's we are coming out with. Each series will be different. We will take concepts and put it into pure freestyle just to see what we come up with. Theirs no right or wrong way. It's all bout getting out of your comfort zone and allowing yourself to be free. "The Genesis Workshop" is how this series got started. The word means beginning or origin. When in it's first stages, Breaking had no foundation or specific steps. The dance was originated on pure Freestyle and Feeling the music. Specific steps and foundation came in later year's when breaking needed to be taught and respected like other dance forms such as Ballet and modern. Specific moves or steps was also a way "Bboy's" could stamp a move as their's or a way to leave their legacy to continue on after they were long gone. In the workshop we teach how to find your own way of free-styling, finding out your body type. And using it to your advantage when your Breaking. The Genesis Series is all about feeling the music, moving in total freestyle. Creating spontaneous movement, not so much concentrating on a specific move, but on the Style of getting in and out of it without any specific set. Our goal is to keep the art of "Freestyle" alive within a New Ear of bboying that focuses more on set's. Thanks for watching and enjoy.
