In 2021, I fulfilled my long-cherished dream of finally owning my own sailboat. You don’t have to be rich to sail! In this video, I’ll introduce you to the Atlanta Koralle, which is just as well-suited for sporty sailing in strong winds as it is for sailing with the family. It’s a dinghy so light that you can launch it into the water and haul it back out of the water all by yourself from your trailer—and it even has a beautiful wooden deck.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY CHANNEL:
The Atlanta Koralle is a sailing dinghy from the 1960s and '70s built by Atlanta Bootsbau GmbH in Weitnau, Allgäu, which still captivates today with its lightweight construction and beautiful wood finish. If, like me, you’ve long dreamed of finally owning your own sailboat so you can get out on the water whenever you want, then the Atlanta Koralle might just be the right boat for you to experience dinghy sailing. My Koralle is always on its trailer, which gives me maximum flexibility when choosing where to sail.
On my channel, “Sailing with the Koralle,” you’ll find many different videos about dinghy sailing, including information on rigging, spinnaker sailing, and, of course, the sensational story of Klaus Schneeberger, the inventor of this innovative boat design.
If you’re more interested in dinghy sailing specifically with an Atlanta Koralle, I recommend the “Segeljolle-Atlanta-Koralle” forum (www.segeljolle-atlanta-koralle.de), where almost every topic related to this beloved boat has already been covered.
