In this performance, I explore the sound of the Iranian tar through a jazz-inspired musical atmosphere, blending the traditional language of Persian music with the freedom, harmony, rhythm, and improvisational spirit of jazz. The piece is based on Bayat-e Tork (Bayat-e Tork), one of the important melodic branches of the Iranian Radif, reimagined through a contemporary and improvisational approach.
