It was a grand theatrical experience to witness Mahalaya live on stage with probashi Bengalis of Mumbai. The story of Mahisasurmardini Durga is about Goddess Durga's victory over demon Mahisasur. বীরেন্দ্র কৃষ্ণ ভদ্র মহাশয়কে tribute জানিয়ে, উনার চিরপ্রচলিত পাঠ, ও মহালয়ার বিভিন্ন গানের উপর আমরা নৃত্য পরিবেশন করেছি, ও এতে নাটক এর কিছু dialogues লিখে ও voice recording করে আমরা এই মহালয়া কে এক নাটক এর রূপ দিয়ে, "মহিষাসুরমর্দিনী দুর্গা" dance drama প্রস্তুত করেছি। The video includes performance by probashi bengalis and non bengalis of Mumbai from different walks of life, right from 5years to 65 years age, none of whom are professional dance or theatre artists, including many who have never been exposed to these art forms before; the only purpose of this non-profit event is to preserve and promote our rich cultural heritage in today's generation of probashi bengalis and is not intended for any commercial use.
