#chinatravel #jiangxi #travelvlog 🏮 Day 1 | Wandering Around Jiujiang We arrived in Jiujiang in the late afternoon, visited Pipa Pavilion (a historic riverside pavilion inspired by a famous Chinese poem), discovered an amazing little restaurant near Xunyang Tower (a historic tower overlooking the Yangtze River), and spontaneously hopped off our bus after spotting a beautiful park filled with glowing lanterns! ⛰️ Day 2 | Mount Lushan Back in the mountains after such a lonooooog time! Mount Lushan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and deep connection to Chinese poetry and culture. For centuries, poets like Li Bai and Su Shi have drawn inspiration from its mountains, waterfalls, and ever-changing mist. Despite the heavy rain, the mist drifting through the mountains made everything look like a traditional Chinese ink painting. We ended our hike at Sandiequan Waterfall (the most famous three-tiered waterfall), where a very windy (and slightly chaotic) pedal boat ride became one of the funniest moments of our trip. 🙏 Day 3 | Donglin Giant Buddha On our last day, we visited the Donglin Giant Buddha, a magnificent 48-meter-tall bronze statue of Amitabha Buddha at the southern foot of Mount Lushan. By pure coincidence, we visited on the first day of the lunar month (traditionally an auspicious day for visiting temples and praying for blessings)! We received blessing plaques, enjoyed a vegetarian temple meal, climbed the steps toward the Buddha, and drew a lucky fortune stick. Next stop: Jingdezhen! 🏺 Our mother-daughter adventure in Jiangxi isn't over yet! In the next vlog, we're heading to Jingdezhen, China's famous Porcelain Capital. Its historic porcelain production sites were just added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2026!
