I get asked this a lot, so I decided to surprise everyone and make a list of things I liked about FF7R. Final Fantasy 7 (1997) AKA "The Real FF7" by Squaresoft got "remade" into FF7 Remake by Square Enix, a Disneyfied Kingdom Hearts version of the original JRPG masterpiece. FF7 Revelation will be its 3rd chapter, and will spell the end of Modern Final Fantasy. Here's what I liked about FF7R: 1) The remixes of "For Those Who Fight" and the "Airbuster Boss Theme" 2) The Slow-Motion ATB 3) Synergy Attacks were fun (from Chrono Trigger) 4) Various story moments, like Dio failing to give Cloud a crushing handshake, Sephiroth being unaffected by a raging river, the expanded flashback of Aeris as a child with her dying mother Ifalna Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sparked debate about modern Final Fantasy. An FRPG take on the JRPG genre.
