In this video, we reflect on the "false self," the need for approval, and the silent despair described by Søren Kierkegaard: the suffering of someone who has drifted so far from themselves that they can no longer distinguish their true identity from the persona created to garner love.
Perhaps the problem was never a lack of love. Perhaps you built a version of yourself capable of being accepted, yet incapable of feeling truly known.
