Despite having such diverse range of flavours, the acclaimed Odia cuisine is not so well-known across the country. And that always saddened a passionate Odia food enthusiast, Ritu Pattanaik. Preserving traditional recipes is crucial for maintaining cultural identity and passing down valuable traditions, as food customs and techniques often reflect a community's values and history. And that very idea shaped Ritu Pattanaik’s first cook book, ‘259 Inherited Recipes of Odisha’, with which she truly inherited Odisha.
