How to Longline a Horse Part 1

Longlines are a great tool to improve responsiveness to the reins on the ground, but it can go wrong in a hurry if you don’t introduce them correctly. This video is the first in a series on how to longline your horse for better control on the ground. I longline all the colts that go through my program before putting their first rides on them. This is really helpful for a horse that gets bound up and claustrophobic when feeling pressure on their off side. I also use it to recondition a horse that hasn’t been worked in a while.
