Leaving the northern gate of Lo Manthang behind, we journeyed all the way to the edge of the Nepal-Tibet border. From crawling through the dust-filled labyrinth of the ancient Chhoser Cave to standing before the massive, unfinished Guru Rinpoche statue at nearly 4,000 meters, this day was defined by the raw elements of light, wind, and timeless history.
Join us as we explore the 15th-century cliffside monastery, hike up to the windswept ruins of the King’s and Queen’s Summer Palaces, and take in the golden hour over the entire Upper Mustang valley.
