Sunrise MTB Ride Under Scotland's Highest Mountain | Ben Nevis, Fort William

Early morning solo mountain bike adventure and descent from the CIC hut under Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain. Set off just after 5am in the dark to reach the start of the descent as the sun was coming up. The scenery and landscape was spectacular - got a proper bluebird day! The descent itself was tricky with lots of drainage ditches (some with several stepping boulders in between!) so I managed to hop some and walked some! There were some cracking staircase sections and flat out parts. Really enjoyed it! Took me just over 2 hours to ascend which included a couple of short stops for pictures of course! Pushed most of the way and carried the bike a little as it was easier in places. I think the total ascent is around 750m or thereabouts. I set off from the Nevis Range car park just north of Fort William although you can start closer at the North Face car park. I was riding more trails later hence why I chose that - there are lots of good natural trails at Nevis which you can check out in my other video titled "Riding Enduro MTB Heaven at Nevis Range". I always enjoy coming to Fort William for the techy trails and outdoor vibe! The Scottish Highlands in general is great for mountain biking :).
