The Great Bansal Sir, Doyen of Coaching Fraternity, passed away today morning at 3:30am in Maitri Hospital, Kota, due to COVID related complications. The initiator of an Education Revolution, Bansal Sir was an epitome of many qualities of a teacher. He was the fountainhead of inspiration for not just millions of students, but virtually complete coaching fraternity. As we mourn his loss, we are reminded of his indomitable spirit, his zeal for life and his pursuit of excellence, his simplicity and his affection. I have been very fortunate that I started my career with him as mentor. I was the first IITian to migrate to Kota for teaching, and it was only his influence that kept me bound here. Whatever I have learnt, it is largely due to his guidance and mentorship. After a life full of awe inspiring struggle, may the soul of Bansal Sir attain peace.
