It begins with the musical-comedy's humble beginnings in 1974, and explores how, and why the show has grown into a Raleigh-based, community theatre production annually playing to 30,000 people while taking in $1.1 million at the box office after a mere 10-show run every December. You'll hear from current and former cast members whose lives have been profoundly impacted by the show, personally and professionally. The show's director and star, Ira David Wood III, played Ebenezer Scrooge in the show every year from 1974 through 2023, with the exception of 2010. The documentary details events from that year's run of the show as well as its future.
