Spring skiing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort during one of the warmest days of the season. Temperatures hit nearly 70°F in the Gunnison Valley, and it honestly felt more like June than March. The snow was soft, the base area was melting, and you could see grass starting to show down in town. Even with the heat wave, there was still skiing to be had at CBMR. Early in the morning the snow had some structure before quickly turning to full spring corn and mashed potatoes as the sun climbed higher over the Elk Mountains. This video captures a real look at late-season skiing at Crested Butte during an unusually warm stretch. Conditions are changing fast across Colorado right now, and it’s wild to see how quickly spring takes over the mountain. 🎥 Filmed for ColoradoCamera In this video: Crested Butte spring skiing conditions Warmest ski day of the season Late-season terrain and snow conditions What skiing looks like during a Colorado heat wave If you enjoy Colorado ski content, mountain biking, and mountain life in the Gunnison Valley, consider subscribing for more videos from ColoradoCamera.
