Vlog Today Was All About Balance

Come spend a day with me in this Day in the Life vlog! This morning started with a little lay in (because sometimes you just need one!), followed by my usual tea, getting ready and making a second tea to take with me in my flask because I’ve been battling a bit of a sore throat. I had three classes to teach this morning, with a one hour break between my first and second classes, which gave me the perfect excuse to check out a new shop near Surrey Street. They’ve got SO many delicious herbs and spices at really reasonable prices, so naturally I stocked up! With winter creeping in, I’m getting all my herbs and spices ready for plenty of cosy, nourishing teas. After teaching, I headed home for some food before tackling one of life’s biggest chores… washing my hair! 😂 As much as I love my hair, washing it is an EVENT in itself. Once I was finally ready, I packed my bags and jumped in the car to head to Shepperton to teach at Queen’s Retreat. I teach there every year and honestly, it’s such a beautiful little community. The women are absolutely amazing, always supporting, encouraging and empowering one another and I always seem to come away with some gorgeous little gifts too, which is such a lovely added bonus. 💕 Then came the big decision… do I drive home, then spend another hour and a half getting the train to my friend’s surprise 40th birthday, or do I just drive there straight from Shepperton? Well… I chose the latter! And I’m SO glad I did. Even though I was feeling a little under the weather, I had such a great time celebrating with my girl. Sometimes you really do need to put the work down, get dressed up, socialise, have a boogie and release the stress in the hips! Because life is all about balance. Work, teaching, looking after yourself, seeing your friends, celebrating the people you love and making time to have a good time, it all matters. ❤️
