We Spent One Night in a Haunted Irish Castle… Here’s What Happened

Would you spend one night in a haunted Irish castle? Well Ireland has thousands of castles - some you can stay in! We checked into Cabra Castle, a historic castle hotel in County Cavan, Ireland, for an overnight stay filled with turrets, grand hallways, great food, Irish history and one rather creepy ghost story. In this Ireland travel vlog, we give you a full tour of our courtyard room, explore the castle grounds, hear the story behind Cabra Castle and discover what happened to the original stronghold during Ireland’s turbulent past. We also visit nearby Dún a Rí Forest Park, where we attempt a peaceful river walk, immediately struggle with the directions, search for the old castle ruins and eventually find the impressive Cromwell’s Bridge. Back at Cabra Castle, we enjoy a few drinks, a fantastic meal and an evening walking around the grounds before listening for the sound of the castle’s famous ghostly baby. Did anything happen during the night? Not really. The only unexplained noise was my stomach waiting for breakfast.
