What does it mean to begin again? Not with everything figured out. Not without fear. But with the willingness to take the next step. In this month’s Couch Chat, we’re reflecting on My Neighbor Totoro, Fruits Basket Season 2, and Demon Slayer Season 1 as we explore themes of uncertainty, healing, growth, and the quiet moments where change begins. My Neighbor Totoro reminded me that uncertainty can exist alongside wonder, and that comfort doesn’t always come from having answers — sometimes it comes from connection and presence. Fruits Basket explored what it means to imagine a future after painful experiences, and how healing relationships can begin when we allow ourselves to believe something different is possible. Demon Slayer showed the quieter side of growth — the repetition, patience, and self-trust required to keep moving forward, even when progress feels invisible. This month’s theme became: 🌱 Beginning Again Because sometimes starting over isn’t about becoming someone completely new. Sometimes it’s about reconnecting with parts of ourselves that were always there. 💬 Reflection: Where in your life might you be standing at the edge of a new beginning? Thank you for spending this time on the Couch with me. Rest easy. Feel deeply. And I’ll see you in the next session. 🌿 --- ABOUT ME: I’m Katelyn, a licensed therapist who loves anime.
