Whittlin with Dillard

Wood carving is my Artistic legacy. My history and ventures into being a Artist is not taught from a college or lessons. It first started in 1983 when I was working as a professional plumber. I had a on the job injury that left me with both shattered legs and ankles. Recovery from many surgeries left me with a lot of time to discover art, so I watched painting shows on PBS. Started painted and selling them. That lead me to leathercraft built a saddle, sign painting, watercolor painting, building a guitar mandolin violin from stock wood, portrait painting in oils, learning to play country fiddle, Bass guitar and music theory. So, wood carving just came natural with watching carvers on YouTube. My first two projects were great. Wood carving was the three dimensional art form I have been looking for. At this time I am wanting to share my talent in hopes that others will start wood carving.
