Battle for Naboo - The Dark Side - Platinum Medal

After the well-implemented medal system (gold/silver/bronze) of Rogue Squadron, LucasArts and Factor 5 used the same system for the game's spiritual successor, Episode 1: Battle for Naboo. But they included a hidden feature in the new game... The platinum medal. The requirements for these medals were not viewable in the game; it took the video game community several months to collectively figure out how to get each medal. But they persisted, and a select group of gamers who called themselves the Plat Hunters succeeded in collecting all 18 medals. I'm now following up on the work they did, using the tips they left behind to create a video series showing what exactly you need to do in each level to get the Platinum. --Level 18 - The Dark Side-- Platinum Requirements Time: 7:15 Kills: 40 Accuracy: 25% Saves: 13 Bonus: No Lives Remaining: 3 The last of the three bonus levels, Dark Side lets you play as the Sith and mess stuff up. There's several things at play here: -The Infiltrator is really fun to use, but its fast rate of fire makes accuracy an issue. The 25% requirement is pretty lenient, which allows me to go nuts a few times (especially on the five Starfighters towards the end), but I still have to watch it. -At 7:15, this is the longest plat requirement in the game. Big test of stamina. -I can't die, which means I have to be careful in how I approach enemies. This is why you see me fly past, zip around, and do other wonky stuff; I want to get behind the speeders and fighters before they get a chance to shoot. The Infiltrator's speed and quick maneuverability helps a lot. -The Police Cruisers (blue fighters) are pretty easy to deal with. The Naboo Starfighters (yellow fighters) take more hits to kill, and if you're right behind them, it can be tough to tell where to aim. -I have to kill Gungans running around..........
