Silent Travel Vlog: Tibet with Songtsam 🌿 (2023) Part 2

Welcome back to the channel! This is Part 2of my 2023 trip to Tibet. If you haven't seen it yet, check out Part 1 for details on our first few days. We chartered our tour with ‪@Songtsam‬ , a boutique hotel chain that also serves as a guide and agent. This isn't intended to be a polished vlog — I started sharing videos because I found fellow travelers' footage so helpful, so I hope mine is useful to you too. Heading to Namcha Barwa - after breakfast, with stops at scenic spots along the way, including mountains that turn white with sand at certain times Glamping at a site with a beautifully designed check-in area (obsessed with the color scheme) and rooms with mini-bar items included in the package Horseback riding (not included in the package, but so much fun) The coaches were incredibly nice, and we rode far longer than what we paid for All meals inclusive, plus a morning walk near the hotel before heading to our last destination Lavender fields and Basum Lake en route Final stop: Lhasa — our second time here. A few years ago, the hotel didn't have the permit to let non-Chinese passport holders stay, so they put us up at the correction St. Regis instead. Nowadays, foreign passport holders can stay in any hotel. Last day: After breakfast, we picked up our friends from the Potala Palace (which we skipped due to another round of headaches — the first being when high altitude sickness kicked in). Then we visited Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. That concludes the trip, but there's so much more to see and do — you can discuss and arrange it all with Songtsam. I've also included some very old footage (2017) of monks debating sutras , plus options like Thangka painting, prayer flag printing, pottery making, and more.
