Competing on Maui again. First 5-star World Cup of the season. After the first days of exploring the island, this one is all about windsurfing. Trying to capture the event from my perspective, both on and off the water. I was happy to be straight into the main event. That means Top 28, no qualification needed. A good feeling going into the first heat. The first round went solid. Finished 3rd and moved on. But in the next heat, I just couldn’t deliver. The conditions were tricky, very light wind, and I probably expected too much from myself in those moments. Mistakes that don’t usually happen. Falling on turns and missing opportunities. Still, competing here on Maui means a lot. And despite the result which still is a 29th place, I really enjoyed being back in that environment. This video is my personal look at the event.
