NVM Express 2.1 Specification Overview and State of the Union

NVMe® technology has become synonymous with high-performance storage and with widespread adoption in client, cloud and enterprise applications. Although initially developed for direct-attached PCIe® SSDs, NVMe architecture is now widely used in both direct-attached and fabric-attached applications. In this presentation, Phil Cayton provides an overview of the latest NVMe features, summarizes the NVMe standards roadmap, and describes new NVMe standardization initiatives.
