CAUGHT IN A HEAVY SNOWSTORM at a Mountaintop Cabin | Bushcraft Survival. Stranded high on an exposed mountain peak as a heavy, unrelenting snowstorm slams into the ridge—driving temperatures down into dangerous sub-zero territory and unleashing blinding whiteouts and howling gales. Seeking emergency refuge, I reached a primitive mountaintop cabin perched right in the storm's direct path. Cut off from the valley below with all descent routes buried under treacherous snowdrifts, survival relies entirely on alpine bushcraft skills: securing the exposed cabin against crushing wind loads, weatherproofing drafty timber walls, and maintaining a high-output fire to engineer a safe thermal sanctuary above the clouds.
