Lesson 25 | Learn Hindi Apurna Bhoot Kaal (अपूर्ण भूतकाल) | Past Continuous Tense | Hindi Grammar Welcome to Lesson 25 of Learn Hindi with Purnachandra Rao Sir. In this Hindi grammar lesson, we learn the fifth type of Past Tense: Apurna Bhootkal (अपूर्ण भूतकाल - Past Continuous Tense). This tense is used to describe an action that was happening continuously in the past but was not completed (e.g., "He was eating," "They were going"). Because the action was never finished (Apurna), this tense DOES NOT use the 'Ne' (ने) rule! Instead, we combine Present Tense endings (Ta, Te, Ti / Raha, Rahe, Rahi) with Past Tense helping verbs (Tha, The, Thi). At the end of the lesson, Sir also provides a Master Chart comparing the 5 types of Past Tense rules! 📚 In this lesson, you will learn: ✅ What is Apurna Bhootkal (Past Continuous Tense) and when to use it. ✅ Why the 'Ne' (ने) rule is NEVER used in this tense (even with Sakarmak Verbs). ✅ How to build sentences using Ta/Te/Ti + Tha/The/Thi (e.g., Vah khata tha - He used to eat). ✅ How to build sentences using Raha/Rahe/Rahi + Tha/The/Thi (e.g., Vah kha raha tha - He was eating). ✅ Examples using different subjects (Ram, Sita, They, I). ✅ Master Chart Summary: A complete table comparing Samanya (Simple), Asanna (Recent), Purna (Perfect), Sandigdha (Doubtful), and Apurna (Continuous) Past Tenses based on Gender and Number. ⏱️ Video Chapters (Click to jump to a specific topic): 0:00 – What is Apurna Bhootkal (Past Continuous Tense)? 0:32 – The Meaning: Action started in the past but was not completed 1:02 – Why the 'Ne' (ने) rule is NOT used in this tense 1:15 – The Rule: Combining Present endings (Ta, Te, Ti) with Past helping verbs (Tha, The, Thi) 2:21 – Sentence Practice: "Vah khata tha" (He used to eat / He was eating) 3:40 – Sentence Practice: "Ve bolte the" (They were speaking) 4:21 – Using the 'Raha/Rahe/Rahi' format for continuous action 4:45 – Sentence Practice: "Ram ja raha tha" (Ram was going) vs. "Sita ja rahi thi" 6:14 – Comparing with other tenses: "Jata tha" vs. "Gaya tha" 8:09 – Past Tense Master Chart Introduction 8:51 – Chart Breakdown: Samanya Bhootkal (Simple Past - Aa, E, I) 9:15 – Chart Breakdown: Asanna Bhootkal (Recent Past - Adding Hoon, Ho, Hai) 9:38 – Chart Breakdown: Purna Bhootkal (Past Perfect - Adding Tha, The, Thi) 9:50 – Chart Breakdown: Sandigdha Bhootkal (Doubtful Past - Adding Hoga, Hogi, Honge) 10:43 – Chart Breakdown: Apurna Bhootkal (Past Continuous - Ta/Raha + Tha) 11:52 – Summary and what to expect next (Hetu-Hetu Madbhootkal)! 🎯 This lesson is highly useful for: ✔️ Telugu speakers wanting to learn Spoken and Written Hindi ✔️ School Students & Beginners ✔️ Teachers & Competitive Exam Aspirants ✔️ Anyone interested in building a strong foundation in reading and writing Hindi 📖 Previous Lessons on Hindi Grammar: Lesson 24 – Sandigdha Bhootkal (Doubtful Past Tense) Lesson 23 – Purna Bhootkal (Past Perfect Tense) Lesson 22 – Asanna Bhootkal (Present Perfect Tense) 📺 Watch the Complete Course from Lesson 1 here:    • Learn Hindi in Telugu: Complete Course for...   🔔 Subscribe to Learn Hindi with Purnachandra Rao Sir for easy lessons on: • Hindi Grammar through Telugu • Spoken Hindi • Reading & Writing • Vocabulary Building & Pronunciation • Daily Conversations 👍 If you found this lesson helpful, please Like, Share, Comment, and Subscribe to support the channel! 💬 Your Task: After watching this lesson, comment "Apurna Bhutkal" below to let us know you've completed Lesson 25! #LearnHindiInTelugu #SpokenHindi #ApurnaBhutkal #HindiGrammar #PastTenseInHindi #HindiThroughTelugu #HindiForBeginners #LearnHindi #PurnachandraRaoSir
