What happened to Tommy in The Last Of Us Part 2?

I was meant to make this video about a year ago, I was reminded in some video comments recently to make it. What made me make this video was his attitude towards Ellie at the end of Part 2. So i wanted to delve into the character to see why his character did a complete U-Turn.
