Classic Lionel Trains - ALCO Diesel Locomotives of the 2000 Series 1950 – 1954 and 1969

Lionel produced more than 30 models of the ALCO Diesel locomotive. The four models of the 2000 series made between 1950 and 1954 were the luxury versions equipped with a die-cast base, magnetraction, an operating horn, an operating coil coupler and a three position e-unit.
