You are my Heart -- Shade

Shade – You Are My Heart | Splash Damage Not every love song is about romance. Some are about the bonds that never truly break. “You Are My Heart” reveals a deeply personal side of Shade, the quiet, guarded saxophonist of Splash Damage. Behind her dry humor, smoky voice, and carefully maintained composure is a mother whose love for her daughter has never faded, even through distance, separation, and difficult years. With intimate vocals, a soulful tenor saxophone, and a beautifully restrained arrangement, Shade expresses the feelings that words alone cannot always carry. Tender, vulnerable, and deeply sincere, this is a song about unconditional love, the passage of time, and the people who remain part of us no matter how far apart life takes us. Sometimes the quietest words carry the greatest meaning.
