Looking for a way to remove the graininess from your colored pencil drawings?
In this video, I show you 3 different ways to achieve a smooth, painterly look to your colored pencil drawings. For the first flower, I blend with solvent or paint thinner. For the second flower, I use a soft, white Prismacolor pencil to blend using a burnishing technique. For the third flower, I blend using a colorless blending pen or marker. Happy to answer questions in the comments.
Supplies:
Pencils: Prismacolor, Polychromos
Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth
Solvent: Utrecht NOOD No Odor Paint Thinner
Blender Pen: Finesse Blender Pen for Colored Pencils and Prismacolor Colorless Marker
