Meet PJ2T's CQ Worldwide Youth Ops

Meet the young operators who comprised most of PJ2T's team for CQWW SSB 2025. Three women and four men on the team of 11 were 24 or younger. Two others were young middle-aged. You'll hear about the year long fundraising project that enabled them to participate in this amateur radio competition from Curacao, and about their travel from six countries on three continents. We will put you "in the chair" with live audio and video as they deal with pileups and with electrical noise from nearby Hurricane Melissa. You'll hear about how they came to ham radio and their career aspirations and educational plans. The video shows very clearly that our radio sport is alive and well and will prosper into the future, buoyed up by outstanding young people such as these.
